Information boards and rescue equipment at swimming places
Since 2012, the Rescue Board has installed water safety information boards and rescue equipment at unsupervised swimming locations.
When in 2012 and 2013, the Rescue Board mainly made and installed the information boards themselves, then from 2014, the manufacture and installation has been done in cooperation with local governments, so as to equip more swimming places with information boards and rescue equipment. As a result, in 2015 there were a total of 180 information boards with rescue equipment all over Estonia.
In 2016, the project stepped up its pace even more when it joined forces with the team of Let’s Do It campaign. The installation of water safety stands became one of the focus topics of the activity day and was immensely popular among the participants. In total, 496 water safety stands with information boards and rescue equipment were installed all over Estonia.
